Xavier Salaam (born Xavier Chris) was the leader of the Nation of Islam group in Farmington.
Before Season 1[]
Xavier Chris spent six years in Chino for manslaughter. After getting out, he joined the Nation of Islam and changed his name to Xavier Salaam. Eventually, he became the leader of a Nation of Islam group in Farmington.
Season 1[]
When Xavier and his men from the Nation of Islam started handing out pamphlets in one of the corners where Rondell Robinson dealt drugs, they started having confrontations. One day, Rondell punched Xavier in the face. When Detectives Vic Mackey and Shane Vendrell asked him about it, he assured them that they would not retaliate against Rondell, but that they wouldn't move from the corner because Farmington needed "cleansing".
The next day, Rondell shot at their corner trying to kill some of them. When Vic and the Strike Team arrived, Xavier assured them they would capture Rondell. Later that day, they brought some dealers to the Barn as a "citizen arrest". Xavier also demanded to speak with Captain David Aceveda. Xavier assured Aceveda that the drug dealers led by Rondell Robinson were operating under the protection of police officers from the Barn. However, he refused to reveal what cops until he had certainty. In the meantime, he and his men settled in the lobby until they felt the matter had been dealt with.
Later that night, Vic Mackey arrived and told Xavier that Rondell wouldn't be a trouble anymore. Xavier told him that Rondell was his problem and that, although the drug dealers could hide, they knew where to find Vic.
