Vondie Curtis-Hall (born September 30, 1956; age 68) was a director of The Shield.
Biography and career[]
Vondie Curtis-Hall was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of Angeline, a nurse, and Curtis Hall, a construction company owner. Vondie has a brother, Kevan, who works as a designer, and a sister, Sherrie. They all attended Presentation Our Lady of Victory grade school in Detroit.
Curtis-Hall started his acting career in theater, appearing in Broadway plays like Dreamgirls. Eventually, he moved to feature films and TV. Through his career, Curtis-Hall has appeared in films like Sugar Hill, Coming to America, Crooklyn, Romeo + Juliet, and Eve's Bayou, among many others. He has also appeared in TV shows like ER, Chicago Hope, Rosewood, and Daredevil.
Since the late 1990s, Curtis-Hall has also shifted to directing. He has directed films like Gridlock'd, Glitter, and Waist Deep. Curtis-Hall has also directed episodes of Firefly, Chicago Hope, and Gossip Girl.
