Season 6 of The Shield began in April 3, 2007 on the FX Network. It was created by Shawn Ryan and consists of 10 episodes.
The Shield: Season 6 was released on DVD in North America on August 26, 2008.
Summary[]
The Strike Team attempts to solve the murder of Lem and deal with the aftermath of Vic's discovery that Shane was the killer. Other storylines include a new officer added to the team by Claudette who is intended to eventually replace Vic, Vic's attempt to save his job, and the investigation of the murder of several Mexican officials.
Timeline[]
Season 6 begins one week after the events of Season 5.
Format[]
The season follows a few main plots and several subplots:
- Vic Mackey and Ronnie Gardocki attempt to solve the murder of Lem.
- Mackey learns that he is being forced out of the police, while a new detective, Kevin Hiatt, is brought in by Claudette.
- Dutch Wagenbach tries to solve the murder of several Mexicans.
