Richard "Ric" Alan Drasin (July 12, 1944August 30, 2020; age 76) played an unnamed police officer in Season 1 and a leading member of The Horde in Season 3 of The Shield. His first appearance went uncredited and he was only referred to as "booking".

Biography and career[]

Richard Drasin was born in Bakersfield, California. He started his career in the health and fitness field, running a chain of health clubs in the 1960s. Drasin also taught diet and fitness classes at the YMCA. Later, he moved to Venice where he met and worked out with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Drasin also worked as a fitness writer and model.

Drasin also worked as a wrestling trainer at the NWA. During his career, he wrestled under the name The Equalizer. Drasin also worked as a wrestling referee from time to time. In the 1980s, he organized his own wrestling promotion company, promoting wrestling events in California. In 2004, Drasin wrote a book titled So, You Want to Be a Wrestling Promoter. He has written other books in bodybuilding and fitness as well.

As an actor, Drasin has worked as a stunt performer and actor since the 1970s. He has appeared in films like Demolition Man, Mach 2, and The Third Nail, as well as TV shows like Riptide, and City Guys.

Drasin died in August 30, 2020.
