Nicolás "Nick" Gomez (born April 13, 1963; age 62) was a director of The Shield.
Biography and career[]
Nick Gomez was born in Providence, Rhode Island to an American mother and a Chilean father. His father was an artist and his mother was an advertising copywrighter. Gomez grew up in New York City and the outskirts of Boston. He dropped out of school and moved to London when he turned 16 years old. Gomez worked a variety of odd jobs, while also taking up music.
Eventually, Gomez earned his GED, moved to New York and attended State University of New York at Purchase, with an interest in sound design, music, and movies. After graduating from SUNY, he started working on commercials and feature films. Gomez' directorial debut was the 1992 feature film Laws of Gravity.
Through his career, Gomez has directed episodes of numerous TV shows like Homicide: Life on the Street, Oz, Sleeper Cell, Flashforward, Burn Notice, and Chicago, PD. He also directed the feature films Drowning Mona, New Jersey Drive, and Illtown.
