Glen Mazzara (born July 6, 1967; age 57) was one of the lead writers and producer of The Shield.
Biography and career[]
Glen Mazzara was born in Manhattan and grew up in Queens, New York. He attended NYU and earned a Master's degree in English. Mazzara worked as a hospital administrator in New York before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in writing.
Mazzara has written for other television shows such as Nash Bridges (with head writer Shawn Ryan), Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (starring Forest Whitaker and David Marciano) and The Walking Dead (co-starring Laurie Holden and Jose Pablo Cantillo).
