Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is a federal agency under the US Department of Justice. It is responsible for combating drug smuggling and use in the United States. The DEA also has responsibility for coordinating US drug investigations in other countries.

The DEA was running an operation against the Salvadoran gang in Farmington. In retaliation, Guardo Lima ordered some of his men to bomb one of the DEA parking lots with grenades. While Captain Claudette Wyms and the Strike Team were investigating, Agent Gallagher appeared to warn them of their investigation.
That day, the DEA was later busy with another sting in Compton which prohibited them from sending reinforcements to help the Strike Team.
