Biography[]

Anna Maria Horsford was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Her parents immigrated to the United States from the island nation of Antigua & Barbuda in the Caribbean during the 1940s. Showing interest for the arts from an early age, Horsford auditioned for the New York High School of Performing Arts and was accepted. She currently has an Art Institute in New York.

Through her career, Horsford has appeared in numerous TV series and feature films. Her first credited work was in the TV show The Doctors, in 1977. After that, Horsford has appeared in other TV shows like All My Children, L.A. Law, Moesha, Cold Case, and The Conners. She has also had regular and recurring roles in other shows like Amen, The Addams Family, The Last O.G., and Studio City.

Aside from TV, Horsford has also appeared in feature films like The Fan, St. Elmo's Fire, Presumed Innocent, Friday, Set It Off, Kiss the Girls, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, Minority Report, and A Madea Christmas.
